Old Antenna System used from 2004 to 2023
This is the old (1998) Antenna system 6 to 20m. 5 el. Mart Cubical Quad feed with RG213 coax through a homemade eight-band antenna switch all separated feed point, the match of each individual radiator was done with homemade gamma match.
Later (2004) added two PKW 3el. Yagi for 30m. and 40m. interlaced on the same boom, with balun at the feed point, I noticed some interaction between the quad and the yagis especially on 15 and 17m, which I attenuated by varying the spacing of the Yagi elements on the boom, later (2010) I modified the elements of the 3el. Yagis of the 40m. were originally loaded with coils, I removed the coils leaving the physical measurement as it was and adding some pieces of wire that hang at the ends of the radiator bringing the resonance to the center of the band of the 40m band, then I added the hanging wires also to the director and the reflector, calculating 4% less for the director and 5% more for the reflector, from field tests I obtained excellent results.
